Divisional Championship Round

I would think Miami , San Diego , Seattle and Tampa Bay have to be happy playing at home because 3 home teams (Dallas Cowboys , Detroit Lions , Kansas City Chiefs) won in the wildcard round .

Awhile on the other side Dallas , Detroit , Kansas City and New York Jets have to be dreading playing on the road because only 1 team (New York Jets) won on the road though maybe the Jets arent dreading it as much as the other 3 teams because they did it once so maybe they think they will do it again.

I don't mean to poke holes in your theory sir but KC was on the road in Houston. As the 6th seed we won't have a home game in the post season. Doesn't matter home or road the chargers always give us fits. It's gonna be a good game No doubt! .................MM

Yeah baby, let’s get it done Chiefs, I am drinking the KC koolaid

Great Game Sir.......after the INT on my 1 yard line and the 2 ensuing punts inside the 6! I thought I was done for! When you held us scoreless in the 1st half I knew I was done for! IDK how we pulled it off? No excessive 4.5 curse to help? I was sweating it all the way to the last play. Your last drive was 14 seconds long and I think I aged two years! Our games this year were closer than I can remember. I think we got the benefit of the 3 time rule. Thanks for the great season. Let's see if I can get past the fish? You and all of our division mate are always winners in my book.....................MM

GG DET,

The Buccs move on to the Championship game thanks to a cool & calm performance all round from both Offence & Defense.

We kept plugging away, somethings worked, others didn`t,we had enough to get across the line to once again face the Seahawks for the umpteenth time...

Good game Taco your team hung in there for most of the game. That interception we threw on your 1 yard line didn't help much and I was a little concerned when Sully threw an interception on the next play. Now we get to play TB in the playoffs for the 4th year in a row. Hopefully I can put up a better performance than I did in week 2 which was my 1 loss on the season.

GG Jets. I don't even know what to say about that ending. I don't even know how I won with my QB throwing 3 INT's and my WR's dropping everything. See you next season.

Time to go against Meatmen.

The Paydirt Report: Divisional Round

A couple of good games in the AFC and a couple of ho-hum games in the NFC brings us to the Conference Championships. The AFC has a former Super Bowl Champion going up against a team with a heck of a lot of momentum. While the NFC has two titans going head to head in a clash of the ages.

AFC Divisional Round
Kansas City 14
San Diego 10

The Kansas City Chiefs upend the San Diego Chargers on a second half comeback. The Chiefs lost to the Chargers twice in the regular season, but third times a charm. The Chargers GM jgcruz was reported to be so mad that he flew to Kansas City right after the game to kick KC's GM Meatmen's dog. Now that's a rivalry if I've ever seen one.

Miami 9
NY Jets 6 OT

In another developing rivalry, the Miami Dolphins defeat the New York Jets in overtime. It was a kick fest but it came down to a missed 50 yd FG by NY Jets that decided their fate. The game was played with gale force winds so a long FG was not a gimme. This was the third defeat that the Jets took at the hand of Miami. They will be heading to the off season trying to figure out how to defeat their rival AFC East foe.

NFC Divisional Round
Seattle 27
Dallas 10

The juggernaughts from Seattle spanked the Cowboys from Dallas. The Cowboys played tough in the first half as the score was 10-10 going into the locker room. But the Seahwaks overwhelmed Dallas in the second half to catipult them into the NFC Conference game for their 4th appearance. They are 3-0 in that round. Seatlle is looking to avenge their loss to Tampa Bay last season.

Tampa Bay 38
Detroit 16

The other NFC juggernaught Tampa Bay Buccaneers routed the Detroit Lions in in the sunshine state. Detroit was unable to find an answer to the Bucs potent offense. But Tampa Bay's defense set up their offense with 4 turnovers. This will be Tampa Bay's 3rd Conference Championship appearance. The Bucs still feel the sting of last years Super Bowl loss to Cleveland. So they will be hungry in this one.

So we have two teams with blackflys trophies in their possession and two teams hungry for their first. Will it be status quo or will it be fate?

Kansas City @ Miami
Tampa Bay @ Seattle
