Geez! The combined '74 W-L record of San Diego's opponents for the first five games of the '75 season was 65-15. What a brutal schedule to begin the campaign!! Hopefully, we won't have too big a hole to climb out of after those games.
Unlike the past couple of seasons, because this season the AFC West plays the AFC North and the NFC West this season, while the AFC North plays the AFC West and the NFC South, there might be an opening for two teams in the AFC South and AFC East to make the playoffs as the rest of the AFC teams (especially the AFC West teams), get to knock each other around.
I think the NFC East and NFC North teams also might benefit from the schedule and could put two teams in the playoffs. Historically, other than Washington, the NFC East hasn't had much of a chance to have two teams make the playoffs. Will this be the season?
