GM activity restriction
Having a GM miss 2 calender weeks without signing into MFN without giving the league prior notice would get a pm giving the GM 72 hrs to respond or be fired from their team.
We can put up a sticky "Away" thread for GM's to post when they will be away.
Two weeks during the regular season is 6 games - too long in my view. Perhaps shorten it to one week during the regular season.
I also suggest that in addition to the PM warning/notice, that a regular email to the missing GM be sent as well - that is, if the GM wants to post/share his email address.
I like this idea as well, this rule has been implemented in jouameng's new league Parody. The league hasn't started yet so it hasn't been used yet. Here is what we came up with in Parody.
2. Away List: Owners that expect to be away for an extended time period, longer than 5 days, should place their names on the list to notify the league. If they do, depending on the time of absence their team will be held for them, if it's a long absence they'll be given priority when they return. A GM that hasn't logged in after 7 days will be kicked from the league if there's been no notification and there is someone on the waiting list. 10 days will be given if there's no notification and there isn't an GM on the waiting list. All owners will be sent a warning PM if they're close to being kicked. If an owner doesn't notify the list of the absence or a league representative they'll be restricted from joining in the future pending a review by the 2 league reps and me.

I agree. 2 weeks is almost half a season, one week is 3 games and if said GM gets fired the new owner has time to get back in the chase and/or regroup if they are in that position.
I also feel like 72 hours to respond is too long , if they haven't been on for 1 or 2 weeks..what makes anyone think they will respond in 3 days? 48 hours seems like more of a reasonable time frame.
I think one week is fair, with the 48hr notice! I have to put this on here, I know it is a short list of owners! With the heart condition I live with, when a problem happens, I am rushed to the ER with no time for anything! Then I end up staying in the hospital for one or two weeks! I have had no problems since the private leagues started, but it will! I will have a talk with one of the grandkids, show them what to do in this case!
I don’t know if the rules are even needed, especially for owners like yourself. If you are gone, I think the first thing people will wonder is if you are okay, not nixing you from the league.
Maybe the rules could be altered to give Vets more time. So owners that've been in MFN for over a year gets longer leash than owners with less experience. For example, Chinaski hasn't logged in over 2 weeks(I hope everything's okay on his end) but I don't see anyone panicking over him not having logged in, where as a less experienced user of less than 3 months would most definitely have been called out/kicked by now.
Does paydirt have a Hall of Fame? Like when a player retires which often is the case in this league, is there a Hall of Fame or committee that holds certain players in? Just wondering because, that would be pretty cool knowing that if you drafted a certain player and say 12 seasons down the road he becomes an HOF candidate, brings a smile to my face you know!
