The rule is more so about stopping teams from trading their 1978, 1979, 1980 1st round picks all in one season unless they have another 1st round pick in those 3 seasons. Not necessarily to keep teams from trading 3 1st round picks in general away. The hope is to keep a new owner from joining and completely trading away their draft picks for players. Don’t get me wrong, some owners have success in this but more likely than not the team doesn’t break the playoffs. This would help ensure the team having some sort of future for that new owner or even an owner that then has to take over the team.

This won't make a difference because say you trade 1978 and 1979 picks away your still in trouble for years and forced more times than not having to trade major players to re adjust into having 1st rounders something I'm currently trying to fix for myself if anything the best case and scenario would be to have a rule that rookie GMs are not allowed to trade a1st rounders in there first year especially if it's their first ever league otherwise I'm not sure it would help

While I can see your argument, there is no perfect answer to this problem. I’m pro trading and personally don’t feel like there should be any restrictions on how an owner should go about building their teams. Even as an advocate for trades I just see that, teams that trade away 3 years worth of first round picks, especially teams with new owners, don’t tend to do well. I don’t want to limit new owners from building their team the way they want. If an established owner came in and traded 3 firsts, I don’t think many owners would bat an eye. It’s also hard to distinguish which owners we know have an idea of what they’re doing and which ones don’t. It’s not a perfect fix by any means but I think that the 3 1st round pick trade rule isn’t a bad option.

I have seen the 3 pick rule in other leagues and it seems to accomplish what it is set out to do. I am not sure in an established league what it guards against, but whatever the league wants. I have been very outspoken in regards to the trade rules in MFN in general. I think there should be stricter guidelines in regards to trading. Although it is true NFL GM's have no rules in regards to trades. It is also true there are no 12 year old NFL gm's. I think the leagues need to have the options to be able define what each league environment wants in regards to the trade rules. In order to make it less cumbersome on the LA, this should be added to the LA menu. Anyway there are several issues in the GM area that need to be addressed, but this is just part of Christmas wish list. It can wait until after the game engine is fixed, lol. :)

Owner before I traded 3 firsts for arguably the best qb, Miguel Davis, and a whole lot of other picks as well. It took me 3 seasons to accumulate decent players to trade and load up on 1st rounders, even if they were low firsts. It was an uphill battle just to put together a half decent team without picks. I've seen other lower rated qbs play at an equal level for me and I've never had to give up those absurd amount of picks.
If I were to leave as of this moment, the team would be okay where it stands in terms of draft picks, maybe not team performance, but the draft picks are back where they should be. Should there be a safeguard? Yes. What kind of safeguard? Who knows yet.

Assemble a Hall of Fame panel to nominate potential yellow jacket wearers.

They would nominate and vote on nominees to be voted on by the general league GM's. Currently the Competition Committee is in place to handle this but I'd like to have an independent panel separate from the CC.

Fire away pros and cons.

Good nominations, but I'm pretty sure this is just talks of forming a HOF Committee...

Time to re-visit this. We discussed last season going fro 5 to 3 weeks free agency. I would like to throw 2 ideas out.

1. Switch from 5 to 4 weeks free agency.
2. Switch from 2 to 1 week late free agency.

I think both are 1 week too long.
