I can understand why people need the extra 48 hours, but the same I understand how needless those 2 extra days are. I can also see the activity in this league starting to fade with some. There are numerous reasons, but the length of the off season doesn’t help.

What I mean is there are more seasoned owners that are aware of the trade values and keep up daily. Then you also have tribe who may live somewhere in cyberspace within the league and will not let any illegal trades get past the gate.

It might be just me but im seeing more team articles and editorials than we've ever had before. They keep growing. Thanks to the likes of yourself, awest827, and GrandadB for the editorials. For any of you newer GM's, if you aren't reading these your missing some incredible insight. Speaking of which I prolly need to move these to the league help section or the website to make it more accessible somehow. Let me think about how to do this.
And the team articles are incredible. The Tennessee Tip by 50051139 The Indy Star by DJSim22 Nola News by Mcarovil Rams Revolution by greyghost1225 Panther Express by jouameng Cardinal News by CoachNorm Thirteen Colonies by CoachSimpson
Would love to see the Kansas City Star by Meatmen and The Falcon Project back. But never the less that's having some fun right there. And a lot of fun reading their insights.
Please don't take what I said as a view of the league as a whole. There have always been more interest by a several owners than others. I think the team articles are a great thing. I also enjoyed writing the quarterly reviews with awest827 last season. I also believe that not just in Paydirt, but MFN in general is losing owners. I don't have any numbers to back up the fact, other than my participation in numerous leagues. I previously stated last season that I would be good going to 4 weeks for free agency when there was a push for 3, just as I said I would be willing to do a 1 day late free agency. I threw it out there, because it was discussed. It doesn't matter to me if it is 10 days regular or 5 days late.
I have noticed it as well and I've not been involved in MFN as long but it is happening you see 12 out of 32 being the same people in most leagues and having stretched out seasons when Sunday's are already being off for teams struggling tends to make people walk away I was in 5 leagues but with life and my team struggling the past season I was frustrated to the point I took extended leaves of absence and starting cutting back on teams as well
I will say though what kept me in MFN was Paydirt and the extra mile people do in this league giving it the most real feel that even sport games on Playstation or Xbox couldn't do
