Week 11
With 2 OT games the Game of the Week wasnt either of those two. The Pittsburgh / Cincinnati rivalry game took the honors. A great game it was.
Division RacesAFC West I dont even know what to say about this division this season. Its the craziest race Ive seen since Paydirt has opened for business in the imaginary year of 1970. Its up for grabs for anybody in this division.
AFC EastThis division has been turned upside down from the last few year. The Jets are now on top battling the Pats with usual contender Buffalo and last years division champion sitting at the bottom. Both the Jets and Pats win this week as New York holds on to a 1 game lead.
AFC NorthCleveland is on their way to the division crown with a good shot to finish the regular season undefeated. Their remaining schedule includes 2 games vs Baltimore and 1 with Atlanta. They should breeze past those 3 games. Indianapolis and Tampa Bay could be the only upset chances the rest of the way.
AFC SouthJacksonville got some breathing room with an OT win over San Diego this week and a Indianapolis loss. They hold a 2 game lead over the Colts with 5 remaining. The Jags n Colts face off at the end of the years. The Jags won their first meeting in a close one.
AFC Wild Card ChaseIts early in the final stretch but San Diego, Oakland, New England, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and Indianapolis are all tied at 6-5 with Kansas City sitting at 5-6. Its still wide open in the AFC.
NFC EastWashington opened up a two game lead in a huge game vs Dallas this week. A win by Dallas would've not only tied up the division between the two foes but it would've gave the tie breaker to the Cowboys. A huge win by Washington to even up the series.
NFC WestThe Rams and 49ers seemed to be tied for first from the opening bell. They face off in the last game of the year with the 49ers winning the first meeting. Both teams look destine for the playoffs.
NFC NorthGreen Bay has this division title well in hand even with this weeks loss to Seattle. They can focus on playoff positioning and getting/staying healthy.
NFC SouthAfter an early challenge from Tampa Bay, the defending Super Bowl V champions Carolina Panthers have went on a 9 game terror to control the division. A clash between Cleveland and Carolina as the leagues first repeat winners looks very possible.
NFC Wild Card ChaseEither the Rams or 49ers are in the catbird seat for the first wild card spot. Dallas. Seattle and Tampa Bay are 6-5 with Philly and Chicago sitting at 5-6. Nobody wants to face Seattle come playoff time if they make it in.
