The Paydirt Report: Week 12Tampa Bay answers the call as they beat Carolina 27-12 in a Battle Royale to stay undefeated in an NFC South Showdown. The Bucs have taken care of the Panthers in both matchups so far this season. They could get one more meeting in the playoffs. But they'll have to answer to Washington, Seattle and Green Bay for that ticket to Super Bowl VII.
On a side note: Washington's GM blackflys is one win away from going down in history as Paydirt's first GM to notch 100 career wins.
AFC West:
San Diego(10-2) wins a tough battle over Kansas City(8-4) to maintain a one game lead in the division over Denver(9-3) who took down Oakland(7-5).
East:
Miami(9-3) survives and overtime battle over AFC East division foe Buffalo(3-9) to hold on to a 2 game lead over New England(7-5) who surprises a tough Cleveland team. The Jets(5-7) are trying to hang in there with a win to avoid elimination.
North:
Cincinnati(10-2) is in cruise mode with Cleveland(7-5) losing to the Patriots. Pittsburgh(4-8) gets eliminated with a loss as Baltimore(4-8) maintains some pride with a victory over the Steelers. Both GM jobs look bleak.
South:
Jacksonville(6-6) breaks their losing streak and gain a game in the South over the rest of the pack Even with their poor showing so far this year all teams in this division still have playoff hope. Indianapolis(2-9-1) wins their 2nd in a row. Where have these Colts been all season? Houston(3-9) and Tennessee(2-9-1) both lose.
NFCEast:
Washington(10-1-1) is playing for a first round bye as they win easily over Philly(1-11). Dallas(5-7) has picked up the pace late in the season with their 2nd win in a row including their last 4 out of 5 games. Their loss came against the Redskins 32-25. The Giants(2-10) struggles continue as they lose their 2nd straight.
West:
Seattle(11-1) wins again as they are battling Washington for that first round bye. Arizona(5-7) takes over 2nd place in the West with a win and avoids elimination. As San Francisco(4-8) and Los Angeles(2-10) both lose.
North:
Green Bay(9-3) wins to give them an outside shot at a bye but are most likely looking at trying to get a playoff home game. With both Detroit(6-6) and Minnesota(6-6) going down in defeat the Packers can breath a little easier in week 13. Chicago(1-11) continue their losing ways with their 9th straight loss.
South:
Tampa Bay(11-0-1) wins a big game over division rival Carolina(10-2) to secure their place on top of the AFC South. Atlanta(8-4) losses ground but still has a lead on the last Wild Card spot by 2 games over Detroit and Minnesota and 3 games over Dallas and Arizona.
