Thanks. The game could have gone either way (and we got a couple of snake eyes when needed ;-)).

I'll need the same luck against the talent laden Seahawks. Most of their games this season have been lopsided affairs and they have pretty easily dispatched two excellent playoff teams. Whew!

Congrats, Seahawks/awest!

I haven't yet seen the game, just the results. Defenses took the day off in the rain. Tough loss to take - but a well deserved win on your part. Sorry to disappoint my fellow division GMs.

Chargers are running out of next seasons and who knows what will happen with the new version. Guess I'll keep plugging away - until Houk retires.

Hail to the Champion

Congrats to awest827 for guiding his Seattle Seahawks to their 2nd World Championship and bringing that blackflys trophy back to the Emerald City.

What a game it was to cap off the 1976 season. Our closest finish and highest scoring Super Bowl in Paydirt history. A spectacular diving catch by Seattle WR Elmer Dotson put the Seahawks in field goal position with 0:35 left in the game. K Jeremy Benton then knocked in the game winner. San Diego got the ensuing kickoff at their own 25 with 0:33 left. The Chargers managed to get to their 46 yd line but it was not enough to stop the Seahawks fans from rushing the field in celebration.

Congrats to jgcruz on a great season that came down to being just 15-20 yds short of a long FG try and a chance to take home that Championship hardware.

Great season all around guys and I'm really looking forward to see how 1977 unfolds.
