jgcruz hasn't said yet. I made a proposal & everybody went nuts. He asked how we would enforce it, but that's it.

I don't think it will go i to effect until next season, if it becomes a rule.

You don't think it's fun to win by using every loophole instead of playing football? Me either. That's the reason why I've had one foot out the door for about 5 "seasons" and probably really game plan for maybe 3/4 of my games.


Oh he thinks it's fun to win by using loopholes. He's an avid punt block exploit enthusiast. He just wants to deflect his guilt by pointing out another issue in the game.

Basically, if you know these "loopholes" exist & that they give you an unfair advantage over your typical player, you're an *** by using them.

Because I was still using it at that time. We all had a major conversation about it in a different league and I took it out of all of my teams.


I understand you've admitted to using it or whatever, but I don't understand why it's so bad now. From my point of view it looks like your mad because you won't take advantage of it anymore so you don't think anyone else should because you are now at a disadvantage. Or now that basically everyone is using it or has used it, it's no longer an advantage for you.

Sorry if I'm off base, but that's the vibe I'm getting.

That's what you got out of all of this?! WOW! REALLY?

Yeah that's it. Because a reformed smoker is soooo pissed off about not being able to smoke, that he/she thinks everyone should quit. Or a reformed alcoholic is sooooo pissed about not being able to drink, that he/she thinks everyone should quit.

I'm not really supportive of rules which cannot be enforced short of the league administrator unilaterally kicking a GM out of the league. Games cannot be replayed. We have to simply rely on everyone's good faith in trying to stay with as realistic a game as we can under the circumstances.

Having said that, I am in favor of calling out "violators" who exploit MFN program deficiencies. I also encourage GMs to treat violators as pariahs to the spirit of the game. What does that mean? About the only recourse available to GMs is to isolate and not trade with the offending GM.

However, I suggest that we discuss adopting a protocol for removing a repeat offending GM by a vote of the league's GMs. Is there any support for that idea? If so, should a majority, i.e., > 50% of voting GMs, be the threshold to remove a GM? A super-majority, e.g., 55%, 66%, 75% or ?. Should the vote be taken after the season is over? Or anytime? Should there be a minimum number of GMs required to call for such a vote?

Please chime in. I'd like to get this resolved during the next off-season - or forever hold your peace. Thanks.

I am in favor of removing GM's who violate. I think we need a clear policy first. This league was started to get away from that kind of play, I believe. The trade rule and appeal process while not everyone's favorite works (mostly) in keeping GM's honest. I am NOT in favor of tearing down what beercloud and many other original GM's built. I came in late (74?). I have stated many times that this was the best league in MFN and I meant it! The main reason is that we upheld our standards and did not let those with less integrity thrive. I don't have any Idea's yet as I just saw this post. I will have to give it some thought before I make a serious proposal. One thing I do hold firm on, (just BC Beercloud has gone) it is not the time to accept the status quo. We have always looked to be leaders in the game and that should continue. I look at exploits as cheating and Paydirt has never permitted that kind of behavior. Why start now?.......................................................MM

Then why is playing WR's at CB okay? CB's at DE? FB's at G? Why not champion all these they are just as ridiculous? Non of that is about building a top roster. It's manipulation.

If you are going to eliminate punt blocks somehow and not eliminate the other stuff, that's just ridiculous.

It all needs to stop in my view. There have always been ways around the basic game. Like the 2 quarterback scenario that was so popular until jdb disarmed it. Someone will always come up with ways to cover their weaknesses. Can tell me why a WR is 2nd in the league in interceptions? That's not cool either????? Presently there is no rule in place to govern this action. There needs to be...........jdb...............MM
